I’m backkkkkkk!

Depression is hard and sneaks up on you in the weirdest times! I’ve spent the last few months trying to separate who I am as a person from what my role is in my job. The lines have become blurred and it left me resentful. I love hosting, I love showing up, I love being able to love on my people, but it felt more like it was something that was expected of me and a disappointment when I didn’t, which ultimately led to a breakdown. I’ve been able to step back and really identify the difference between what my role says I should be doing and what I really want to do, and it’s brought me more joy! All this to say, life is hard, therapy is amazing, check on your people, call someone today, tell them you love them, especially if they’re an enneagram 2!

I’m working on this daily and have a long ways to go, but I promised when I started this thing that I would show up and be raw and real because life isn’t always perfect behind our screens, and we need to show that more! Ily.

It wouldn’t be the holidays without a trip to @theadolphushotel for holiday tea! This years trip was FRIGID and we didn’t leave the hotel once after we arrived! This trip has become my favorite holiday tradition! 🤗

Recipe:
1.5 oz hot espresso
1 oz @titosvodka
.5 oz simple syrup
.5 oz peppermint coffee liqueur

Piesgiving has become my absolute favorite day of the entire year! We eat, and drink, and laugh, and eat again until we realize that we’re adults and have to work the next day! But we’ll do it again next year, and the next, and for all the years! Bring piesgiving to your home, you won’t regret it, I promise!

Give me all the thanksgiving and pumpkin things fo

Give me all the thanksgiving and pumpkin things for the next two weeks! Up today is a pumpkin shaped cheese ball

Recipe:
16 oz cream cheese softened
1 tsp Worcestershire sauce
1 tsp hot sauce (tobasco or cholula)
1/2 tsp garlic powder
Dash of cracked pepper
1/4 cup chives
2 cups of shredded cheddar
6 oz of chopped bacon

Mix all ingredients above together and then form into a ball, roll the ball entirely in everything but the bagel seasoning and wrap tightly in Saran Wrap. Tie 8 strings of twine tightly to mimic a pumpkin. Place in the fridge to set for an hour and a half or up to 5 days. Unwrap and place a pretzel stick for a stem and serve with bagel chips or pretzel thins or crackers!
